Points to Note
Registration of Priority Entry, Public Ballot and “RUN • STAY • FOOD” Room Package
• The Hong Kong, China Association of Athletics Affiliates Limited (“the Organiser”) reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without notice.
• An applicant can only submit one application for the races to be held on the same day unless he / she is an unsuccessful applicant for the Priority Entry, in which case, he / she can submit one further application for the Public Ballot. In case of violations, duplicate applications or registrations will be rejected or cancelled by the Organiser without prior notice. No entry fee will be refunded and redemption of the Runner's Pack will not be entertained.
• Participants who wish to amend their registered personal information, please contact the Registration and Runners' Communication Office at (852) 2177 2522, or by e-mail at hzmb-halfmarathon@hkaaa.com.
• All participants are urged to seek medical advice of their physical condition before participating in the Event. All participants are required to submit a “Health Conditions Form and Recommendations for Runners” declaring for the compliance of the associated health requirement when he / she submits his / her application in the Event. By submitting his / her application to take part in the Event, and subsequently taking part in the Event, a participant
• warrants and confirms to the Organiser that he / she is physically fit to participate in and complete his / her race without any medical or other assistance; and
• agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser from
• any injury or death suffered by the participant himself / herself or any other persons; and
• any damage to property as a result of him / her not being physically fit to participate in and complete the race.
Runner's Pack Collection
• Runner's Pack Collection Email will be sent to all participants via email within one month before the Event. The Collection Email indicates the runner's name, category, and bib number, along with a QR code. Participants must provide the identity document (as same as used for registration) to official for verification of personal information. Should any participants fail to present the relevant identity documents, the Organiser will revoke participants' right to collect the Runner's Pack (including bib).
• Participants MUST reserve their timeslots before collection of Runner's Packs. Details will be announced in due course.
• Participants should collect their Runner's Pack according to the specified date and time. Should any participants fail to do so, the Organiser reserves the right to revoke participants' right to collect the Runner's Pack (including bib) without prior notice.
• No bibs, timing chips and souvenirs will be distributed on Race Day.
Race Day
• All successfully registered participants are required to report to the designated assembly point at the specified time on the Race Day and complete identity verification before boarding the transportation arranged by the Organiser to the race venue. Failure to present valid identification documents on the day, or any mismatch between the participants' documents and the registration information, will result in disqualification from the race.
• No spectator zones or public cheering zones will be set up at the race zones. Public will not be allowed to enter the restricted area in the AsiaWorld-Expo and race course on Race Day.
• Race officials will be deployed along the route for safety and other reasons. Participants must follow instructions given by the race officials during the race.
• Participants are strongly advised not to stop and take photos or videos near the starting arch, along the course, and at the finish area, for the sake of safety.
• To facilitate the reopening of closed road at designated times, checkpoints will be set up at different locations along the course. Participants who fail to reach the designated checkpoints at specific times will be asked by race officials to leave the course and board the official bus to the assembly point (AsiaWorld-Expo). Such participants must follow such request from the race officials. The Organiser reserves the right to reject applications of a participant who has refused to follow instructions of the race officials for all future Bank of China (Hong Kong) Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HK Section) Half Marathons or races organised by the Organiser. Participants who failed to reach the cut-off points before the designated cut-off time will not be entitled to any results, Finisher Medals or e-Certificates.
• To ensure emergency vehicles can reach the site without delay in the event of an incident, participants are reminded not to enter the Emergency Vehicle Access (EVA) during the race. Please follow instructions given by the race officials.
• To avoid overcrowding and accidents at the Finish Area, participants are required to leave the Area as soon as possible.
• Public Liability Insurance is covered by the Organiser. Participants are advised to take up their own personal or other insurance policies separately, if necessary.
Race Day Arrangement
• Participants must arrive at the designated Assembly Venue (AsiaWorld-Expo) within the designated time period of each group.

• Participants must bring the original HKID card, passport or other Travel Document accepted by the Organiser with the same information as at registration, event wristband, and race bib (with the timing chips) on Race Day. If a participant cannot present any of the above items, participants will be denied for entry to the Assembly Venue and he / she will not be allowed to participate in the competition.
• Changing room facilities will be provided at the Assembly Venue, and baggage storage service will also be available.
• All participants must undergo designated security check and identification verification at the Assembly Venue before boarding the Official Bus to the Start Area.
• All participants must take the Official Bus to the Start Area. There is no alternative method for the participants to access the Start Area.
• All participants must follow the signs and instructions given by the Organiser and officials along the race course. Participants who failed to do so will be asked to leave the venue and will also be disqualified from the event.
• After finishing the race, all participants must take the Official Bus back to the Assembly Venue, to collect their post-race Runner's Packs and reclaim their baggage. Participants who failed to do so will be disqualified.
• No participant is allowed to stay in the Finish Area after finishing his / her race. All participants should return to the Assembly Venue as soon as practicable once they finished their race.
• All participants must comply with the Official Competition Rules and the Terms and Conditions at all times.
Security Arrangement
The Bank of China (Hong Kong) Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HK Section) Half Marathon 2026 is set to take place on the Hong Kong Link Road of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. As the Bridge is one of the major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, and the route course is located within a restricted zone, hence all participants must comply with the following regulations:
Registration
Participants must fill in the personal particulars consistent with the identification documents (HKID Card, Passport or other Travel Document accepted by the Organiser) during registration. Relevant personal information will be transferred to the relevant Department of Government of the HKSAR for the use of application of Closed Area Permit and security checking.
Runner's Pack Collection
Participants should present their identification documents to the official to verify the personal particulars printed on the race bib and identification documents are identical during Runner's Pack Collection.
Event Day
• Participants must bring the following items to the Assembly Venue (AsiaWorld-Expo). If a participant cannot present any of the below items, he / she will not be allowed to participate in the event.
• Original HKID card, passport or other Travel Document accepted by the Organiser (with the same information as used in the event registration)
• Race Bib (with timing chip)
• If any discrepancies are found between the identification documents and the personal particulars printed on the race bib, or the participants present the identification documents or race bibs belong to others on the race day, the concerned participants will not be allowed to enter any part of the race venue and thus not be allowed to participate in the race.
• Participants must arrive at the designated assembly point within the designated time period of each group. Latecomers will not be able to participate the race and will be disqualified, and no entry fee will be refunded.
• Participants must join the race according to the designated race category and start time. Otherwise, he / she will not be allowed to participate in the race and relevant results will be disqualified, and no result certificate and finisher medal will be awarded.
• Entries, race bibs and Timing Chips are non-transferable. Upon discovery of such irregularities, participants concerned will be disqualified. The Organiser reserves the right to forbid and prohibit such person from participating in future races, competitions and events organised by the Organiser.
• Participants must wear their race bib until race completed and returned to the Assembly Venue. Any participant who is found removing his / her race bib without valid reasons or not under the directions of the officials, the Organiser will disqualify his / her entries or relevant results.
• Instructions given by the Organiser and race officials must be followed with respect to all matters not provided herein. The Organiser reserves the right to reject the concerned participants to participate in the competition.
Prohibited Items
Event Prohibited Items
All participants are not allowed to bring the following items into the race area, including but not limited to:
• Any aerosols;
• General dangerous items, e.g. knives, sticks, fireworks, poppers, selfie sticks, camera stands, explosives, laser pointers, bright light-emitting devices, capsules and e-liquids of e-cigarettes, heat sticks, herbal cigarettes, or any kind of article, object or substance which could be used as a weapon, or which may be harmful to health;
• Any instruments that make sound, e.g. any musical instruments or loudhailers;
• Any remote-controlled flying devices or toys, e.g. model helicopters, drones;
• Merchandise or publicity items to be sold or distributed without authorisation;
• Any items like costumes, flags, banners, buntings, tattoos, posters, flyers, leaflets, and / or other promotional, propaganda and display materials, the contents of which are unlawful, discriminatory, political, inflammatory, libelous, defamatory, abusive, derogatory, profane, sexually explicit, violent, obscene, threatening, misleading, or disparaging regarding racial, gender or ethnic background or have any association with xenophobic or ideological nature or items that could detract from the sporting focus, compromise public safety and security, or restrict the view of other spectators and / or harm the reputation of the event;
• Any items that violate the terms of use of the race area;
• Any items that are regarded as unsuitable for entry into the race area by officials of HKAAA and staff at the race area
Any items that do not comply with the above regulations must be handled at the race security check point (such as, disposed of).
To ensure public safety, security personnel in the race area have the right to inspect the belongings of those entering the area.
Participant will be disqualified if any illegal item is found from their possession.
In case of any disputes, the Organiser's decision will be final.
